Creating World of Warcraft Guilds Fast

I have often been asked how to most easily create new guilds in WoW. It seems like everyone wants a guild nowadays, either to just have their own cool tag for themselves, or to try to make an actual thriving guild out of nothing. I have created about 10 guilds in my time, in both WoW and Dark Age of Camelot. After seeing so many people wander around Stormwind crying 'Will anyone join my guild?' I thought it was about time to write up some tips and tricks for creating a thriving guild quickly and semi-easily. I'm not going to say this method creates a high quality guild in the least, but it certainly creates one quickly.
The Name Matters
Take some time to think about what your guild name is going to be. If your just making a guild so you can have it for the tag and your going to kick everyone else out, then this isn't as important. If you want to eventually turn this guild into something real, then a good guild name is important. How many times have you seen these scrub guilds with like 4 members in them called things like 'killers of wow' or 'warriors of (servername)'. Those kinds of names are a dime a dozen and it sounds like they were thought up by a 10 year old. No one wants to join a guild with a lame name, and I wont try to tell you what names are cool, but please take the time to come up with something thats original.
Be High Enough Level
I often see players that are level 20 or even below trying to create guilds. Oftentimes these players dont even have the funds necessary to start a guild and have to beg people for the gold to start. This is not a good idea. Get your charter before you run around asking people to join, and I would recommend being level 60+, or at least 40+. No one wants to join a guild run by a level 17 character. You will find that you have much better luck recruiting people if you are level 70+.
Getting the Charter Signed
Unlike guild invites, you cannot ask people to sign a charter who are not in range of you. So to ask someone to sign your charter you have to actually have their character selected. So go to Stormwind and get your guild charter. Im not sure where a good horde city would be, but you are definately looking for the city with the highest population. Now run around near the auction hall, the mailboxes, and all the popular areas of the city and just start signing anyone up who doesnt have a guild tag already. Dont ask them first, just blind invite them. If you have any good friends who wouldnt mind helping you, then get them on board as well. The charter should have enough signatures quickly, and if someone logs out, they should still be on the charter list. If you really have serious problems getting the charter signed, go and run around Goldshire and Northshire Abbey and charter invite the noobs.
Gathering Members
Now if your just making a one man guild, you are done and can safely boot out the other people once the guild is created. However, if you want to get this guild big, you are going to need some members. Go to a quite spot someplace and do a 'who 2-5' command to bring up everyone who is currently online between level 2 and 5. Now just work your way down the list, inviting them one at a time. Just '/ginvite person' over and over until the list is empty. you will run into some people who are already in guilds, and thats fine. If you see any character with names like 'banker' or something that makes you think thats just a mule character, you can skip those if you like.

Keep Going
Now go ahead and do a 'who 6-10' command and do the same thing with everyone on that list. You will be inviting many members with this method, and many will not join, but some will. I would recommend doing this for everyone online who is level 2-20. After that and people are usually already in guilds and dont respond as well to blind guild invites. Now go and jump back to the 2-5 list and see if theres anyone new on the list since the last time you pulled it. Its important that you remember who you invited, so you dont keep inviting that person over and over. If someone yells at you for inviting more than once, definately write down that name so you never invite them a 3rd time. Send back a tell to them saying 'Sorry, wont happen again.' and move on.
Presto! Instant Guild
The entire process should only take an hour or two at the most, and there you go, a brand new guild all your own with 50 or so people in it. Now that you have yourself a guild basically full of noobs, its up to you to nuture it. Everytime you logon, go ahead and blind invite whatever noobs you can find. After doing this for a couple of weeks you should have a couple of hundred members or so. By this time people will have started to talk with each other and become friends. They may have started to bring over their other characters and friends from other guilds. You may have to do less and less random inviting at this point in time. It was quite easy to setup the guild wasnt it? You will find out however its a lot more difficult to keep it growing and thriving. That part takes a lot of work, good luck!
